JOB DESCRIPTION
When challenged with biotic stresses, plants redirect their resources toward a defense response that occurs at the expense of growth. Recently we have identified a set of transcription factors involved in this process in Arabidopsis and tomatoes and we are currently characterizing their function in regulating growth and response to biotic stresses.
REQUIREMENTS
The candidate must have a strong background in genetics, crop biology, tissue culture and transformation, molecular biology, and histology. Experience in immunocytochemistry and RNA in situ hybridization technologies and confocal microscopy is highly recommended.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are a must.
